- Easy to moderate trek through pine and birch forests
- Stay at Bengali Baba Ashram/Lal Baba Ashram
Bhojwasa to Gomukh/Tapovan (10 km, 7-8 hrs)
- Gomukh (3,900m) is the glacier from which the Ganges originates
- Steep climb to Tapovan (4,463m) with breathtaking views of Mt. Shivling, Meru, and Bhagirathi peaks
- Camping at Tapovan Stay Overnight.
Explore Tapovan
- Acclimatization & exploration
- Opportunity to interact with sadhus & meditation retreats
- Can trek further to Kirti Glacier or Meru Base Camp
Day 5
Tapovan to Bhojwasa (6-7 hrs)
Descend back to Bhojwasa
Bhojwasa to Harshil (5-6 hrs) & Drive to Uttarkashi
- Trek back to Gangotri
- Drive to Uttarkashi (optional)
Uttarkashi to Rishikesh/Dehradun
