Day 1

Dehradun/Rishikesh to Kanakchauri

Set off on your journey at dawn, around 5 AM, to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes along the way. Stop for breakfast at Rishikesh or Devprayag, where you can witness the spectacular confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Continue your drive to Kanakchauri, arriving by afternoon, and check into a comfortable guesthouse or homestay. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing, taking a peaceful stroll through the village, and soaking in the enchanting sunset views, before wrapping up the day with a restful overnight stay in Kanakchauri.

Day 2

Trek to Kartik Swami Temple & Return

Begin your day early, around 4:30 AM, for a scenic sunrise trek to Kartik Swami Temple, covering a 3 km trail (one way) that takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The path winds through dense forests and along picturesque ridgelines, offering a serene trekking experience. Arrive at the temple around 5:30-6 AM to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the majestic Himalayan peaks, including Chaukhamba and Neelkanth. Spend some quiet moments exploring the temple, soaking in the panoramic views, and meditating. Afterward, trek back to Kanakchauri by around 8 AM and enjoy a hearty breakfast. By 9 AM, begin your return journey to Dehradun, expected to arrive by evening.
